WHERE IS CSW LLC LOCATED?
The Custom Sawing WI LLC mill is centrally located in Wittenberg, WI. The CSW LLC mill is about 1.5 miles north of town on Highway 45.

We do not transport the mill but we can provide transport for your logs or lumber. The rate for transport is $3.00 per mile.
DOES CSW LLC PROVIDE TRANSPORT?
CSW LLC will gladly come pickup your logs and deliver them to the mill. CSW does ask that you procure and operate the loading equipment. CSW will be picking up your logs with a flatbed trailer. So most equipment with a front end loader or fork attachment will work well for loading. Once your logs arrive at the mill, CSW has what it takes to process them however you’d like. Upon completion of your Custom Sawing Job CSW will also deliver your quality product to your desired location. Please note that the charge is $3.00 per mile for pickup and delivery. This fee is not negotiable however you can always avoid the fee by delivering and picking up your logs and lumber.
HOW CAN I DETERMINE WHAT
MY LOG WILL YIELD?
The easiest way to see how many board feet will come out of a particular log is to use the Doyle Scale or the Scribner Scale. Next measure the diameter of the log on the small end. Measure the length of the log. From the chart, choose the corresponding board footage for the measured diameter and length. Usually you add a "0" to the number shown and that is the board foot.
HOW MUCH DOES CSW LLC CHARGE?
I charge $1.00 per board foot because every order is different. Some cuts and setups take longer than plain sawing 2" pine in the summer. If it is a frozen hard maple, it will make you work for it the whole way through. Easiest way to get through tough material is to use a sharp blade. Which means rotating blades more often and ultimately costing more. If you choose to have me kiln dry your material, I charge $0.35 per board foot. Usually drying down to 12% moisture content. Refer to the Doyle or Scribner Scale to determine board foot yield. About 800 board feet per cord.
CAN CSW LLC SOURCE MATERIAL?
Depending upon what species and quantity you are looking for. Softwoods are easier to source versus hardwoods. I have sources for larger quantities such as 10, 20, 30 cord orders. CSW LLC can also source smaller single log orders. Again ease of sourcing will depend on species and quantity.
DOES CSW LLC OFFER KILN DRYING?
Currently available is 2,700 cubic feet of kiln space. Which can hold about 5,000 board feet of 1" material. The rate is $0.35 per board foot. Most material is dried down to 12% moisture content. Planning to double the kiln capacity by Spring 2024.
